Show Chickens

I have always had a few different breeds of show chickens. I try to let my hens hatch out their own babies, but I do help out the local 4-H and youth kids with fertile eggs.

Let me know if your looking for hatching eggs!

My all-time favorite breed of chicken are the Japanese Bantam.
I have Grey, Black Tailed White, and Black Tailed Buff. Thanks to a good friend Tracy and her clan I was able to get back some of the blood line I was working with before I went to college.

My current Grey Jap Rooster. I have him with 4 nice Gray hens. I am looking to get some new blood line to take them too.

This was my first Black Tailed Buff Rooster, and his first offspring
a very nice Black Tailed Buff hen out of one of my BTWhites hens.

I also have a young flock of his kids that I don't have pictures for yet.

My Current Trio of adult Black Tailed Whites
The rooster is just now coming back into full tail after a good molt.
You can see the BTB hen hanging out on the roost as well.

Also have a few nice young pullets from this group.

Looking for a nice Rooster to bring in new blood.

Lately I started working with White Frizzle Cochin bantams. Pictured below is the first trio of show birds I had. I took them to each other.. and then took then to a trio of nice white cochins I got.

I do have a few nice White Frizzle Roosters for sale.
All my first generation are looking quite nice.

I got a big group (30) of nice blue cochins in spring of 2007.

Over the year I slowly picked out what small group of hens (3) and
1 Lucky Rooster to start my line of Blue Cochins

I did pick up a very very nice black cochin rooster

form a local 4-H kid that just had to many roosters around the barn!

I have 4 very nice young birds that I got hatched out when the birds
laid for a warm week in January!

Have lots more cooking now that they are laying lots again!
